Saying Sorry Action
When Moses grows up, he does something wrong.
Moses tries to hide from everyone in the wilderness.

Sometimes we do wrong things.
We feel like we want to hide.
Let’s curl up in a ball now
and pretend we want to hide away from everyone,
hide even from God.
Lead the children in curling up into a ball or covering face.
When the group is ready:
When Moses was hiding, God came to find him.
God gave Moses a new start.
God wants to come and find us to give us a new start too.
God wants to be our best friend!

Let’s pretend that our finger is God’s finger!
Lead the group in holding index finger up.
Let’s count to 3
and tap ourselves on the shoulder with God’s finger!
Then let’s jump up and shout:
‘God gives me a new start!’

Tap 1, tap 2, tap 3 . . .
jump up
God gives me a new start!

Now let’s turn to someone
and give that person a big hug
to show that God wants to be best friends with them . . .
and let that person give you a hug as well.
Lead the children in giving and receiving new starts.
When the group is ready:
I wonder how it feels to know that God
wants to be your best friend?
Can you show me?

Let’s use our new start to share God’s love this week!
